Meet the Doctor

Dr. Keesey comes to Founders Eyecare with 16 years of experience providing comprehensive eye care in a private practice setting, which includes the treatment and management of anterior and posterior segment eye disease and glaucoma, ocular emergencies, foreign body removal, contact lenses, pediatric eye exams, and post-operative surgical co-management.  Her clinic experience also includes training at the University of Chicago’s Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) Eye Center, the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, and Wesley-Jessen’s VisionCare Specialists Contact Lens and Eye Care Center in Des Plaines, Illinois.  Dr. Keesey graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in bioengineering.  After completion of her undergraduate degree, she attended the Illinois College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude as her class valedictorian.  In addition to the Valedictory Award, she received numerous honors, including the Presidential Scholarship, the Beta Sigma Kappa Medal, and induction into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity.  In her spare time, Dr. Keesey enjoys skiing, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
